Pesaro celebrates classic cars: "Epoca by Night – Italians in Cars" returns with 75 historic vehicles and young drivers.

The sixth edition of the static exhibition-contest in Piazzale della Libertà features parades, top-notch judges, and a focus on Youngtimers. On August 2nd and 3rd, the ASI Giovani Drivers will showcase young drivers.

Pesaro celebrates classic cars: "Epoca by Night – Italians in Cars" returns with 75 historic vehicles and young drivers.

Everything is ready for the 6th edition of "Epoca by Night – Italians in Cars – Competition and static exhibition for classic cars". The event, organized by the Pesaro Historic Automobile Club “Dorino Serafini” will take place on Friday 1st August, from 16.30pm to 23.30pm, in Piazzale della Libertà and on the Pesaro seafront, where approximately 75 vehicles will parade and be exhibited, 16 clubs involved and 3 high-level judges.

«A beautiful and appreciated event, which has become a fixed appointment in the Pesaro summer, which every year attracts many enthusiasts, citizens and tourists – commented the Mayor Andrea Biancani -. Epoca by Night is organized with great professionalism by the Autoclub Storico Pesaro “Dorino Serafini”.

An association that, together with the Benelli Motorcycle Club, organizes numerous activities, exhibitions, tours, and competitions, which bring prestige and lustre to Pesaro and promote the beauty of the entire region. I remember that these organizations are made up of collectors and enthusiasts who spend their money to purchase and maintain in the city genuine, nationally recognized works of art. Thanks to them, the City proudly supports you.».

Thus the Deputy Mayor Daniele Vimini – «We still have before our eyes the beauty of last year's fashion show, which enriched the summer of the Italian Capital of Culture and will do so again this year, with unique, marvelous designs. An identity event that celebrates the passion of our city, Land of Pilots and Engines».

«The event is reserved for cars of any type and make built up to the year 2000. Cars in possession of CRS, ADS, ASI Identity Certificate or FIVA Identity Card, or those that the organization, at its sole discretion, deems to be of particular historical interest, even if not in possession of the certificates, are admitted", explained the President of the Pesaro “Dorino Serafini” Historic Automobile Club Danilo Crescentini-

This year we also gave space to everyday cars, those that have accompanied us throughout our lives and remained in our hearts, the cars that took us to school, to work, on vacation. The hope is that, as we are doing, today's young people will also become passionate about vintage cars."

The cars will parade from the afternoon toward the seafront and will be displayed on the lawn of Piazzale della Libertà. A short intermission will take place before the evening parade, with dinner in the Ratti courtyard on Via Rossini. ASI President Alberto Scuro will also be present.

«An event we are very attached to - underlined the President of Terra Piloti e Motori Alberto Paccapelo – contemporary of our association, along with the Coppa Faro. Two national initiatives that showcase our region.».

The competition aims to promote the conservation and restoration of vintage and historically significant vehicles. The cars participating in the parade will be selected by the organizing body, at its sole discretion, based on their historical, technical, and aesthetic interest, also taking into consideration brands and models that have been widely distributed in Italy and have provided motoring for Italians.

The Organizing Committee will group the cars participating in the parade/contest according to reasonable criteria of homogeneity, while all other vehicles may participate in the static display. Some technical notes: Only vehicles in perfect working order, legally roadworthy, and with third-party liability insurance will be admitted to the event. Participants must have a valid driving license and an ASI-FIVA membership card. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select participants who do not yet have an ASI membership card, in order to encourage the acquisition of new potential members.

The categories in competition explained by Francesco Cangiotti, vice president of the Pesaro “Dorino Serafini” Historic Automobile Club: «”Classic” from 1946 to 1960, “Post Classic” from 1961 to 1970 (826 vehicles), “Modern” from 1971 to 1980 (17 vehicles), “Post Modern” from 1981 to 1992 (7 vehicles), “Youngtimer” from 1993 to 2000 (12 vehicles). There are prizes for each category, while the “BEST OF SHOW – Epoca By Night 2025- Italians in cars” will be awarded among the cars that won first prize in the various categories».

The winners will be chosen by a panel of three judges appointed by the organizing body. The cars will be evaluated based on their model, rarity, distribution in Italy, elegance, color harmony, interior design, engine compartment aesthetics, and degree of preservation or restoration.

There's also room for young people, with the 3rd edition of the "Asi giovani drivers" trophy, scheduled for August 2nd and 3rd and reserved for drivers "under 40" of classic cars and motorcycles. How do you explain Massimo Campanari: "The event will start from the Pesaro Go-Kart Track, taking the splendid panoramic road that leads from the port to Castel di Mezzo. From there, it will descend towards Gradara and then Tavullia., the land of the legendary Valentino Rossi.

Skill tests, lunch and visit to VR46. In the afternoon, we'll ascend the Marecchia Valley to Jesi and Monsano. Dinner will be served on the "velvet sands" of Senigallia, followed by a full immersion in the wild rock & roll of the Summer Jamboree. The next day, a scenic drive through the Marche hinterland, arriving at the Perbacco Country House.».
