Termini Imerese: Young foreign woman raped in Trabia, Carabinieri arrest 39-year-old Bangladeshi
Un 39 year old Bangladeshi citizen he was stopped by the Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Territorial Department of Termini Imerese and by the Stations of Trabia and Termini Imerese as he was considered responsible for the crime of aggravated sexual assault against a young foreign woman.
The investigations conducted by the Carabinieri, under the careful coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Termini Imerese, have allowed them to collect solid accusatory elements against the individual against whom the Judicial Authority, sharing the circumstantial evidence collected, has issued a detention order for a suspect in a crime which was immediately executed.
The victim, on the afternoon of last Friday, having returned by train at the end of her working day and having arrived at the railway station of Trabia, where she was waiting to be picked up by an acquaintance, she was approached by the 39 year old who, boasting of mutual acquaintances he offered to drive her home in his own vehicleThe young woman reported that the man, during the journey, instead of going to her home, took her with a pretext at your home and, once removed from the vehicle, he dragged her inside, attacked her and, under the threat of a knife, forced her to suffer sexual violence. After the event the victim was able to to escape and ask for help being assisted by medical personnel.
The investigations allowed, through the acquisition of images taken from video surveillance systems, to identify the perpetrator of the violence who was identified with certainty by the military of the Trabia CC Station, thanks precisely to their territorial knowledge derived from the daily and widespread control action.
The constant dialogue with the Judicial Authority, which was promptly updated on the investigative results that materialized in parallel with the activities carried out, crystallized circumstantial elements such as to allow the issuing of an search warrant to be carried out at the Bengali's home, inside which they were found traces and objects useful for investigations and, considering that the subject would soon leave the national territory, this risk of escape determined the issuing of an arrest warrant by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Termini Imerese which in less than 24 hours, allowed the thirty-nine-year-old to be brought to justice, currently locked up in the “A. BURRAFATO” District Prison of Termini Imerese.
The preliminary investigations judge of the Court has confirmed the arrest of the suspect, ordering the suspect to remain in prison.
