Palermo: Operation “Parabantes” to combat online child pornography. 8 searches, 5 arrests, 3 reports

La State Police, as part of an operation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Palermo and aimed at Fight against online child pornography, executed a 8 search warrants in the territories of Palermo and its province, proceeding to thearrest of 5 subjects and the Reporting of further 3 for disclosure, transfer and possession of child pornography images and videos.

The complex investigation activity was conducted jointly by the Cyber ​​Security Operations Center Western Sicily and from National Center for Combating Online Child Pornography of the Service Postal Police.

During the searches, the operators seized numerous video files and images which document the sexual exploitation of minors, even at a very young age, confirming the investigative hypotheses regarding the systematic activity of possession and distribution of child pornography material by the suspects on the Internet.

The material and devices found are currently being subjected to the necessary tests to shed light on further aspects of the investigation, including the identification of the small victims.
