Carabinieri checks in Palermo against drugs and alcohol.

The Carabinieri carried out a prevention service against crimes and violations of the highway code, with checkpoints on the main roads of the municipalities involved.

During operations, a Partinico, 22 year old reported for detention for the purposes of trafficking, since found with 21 grams of marijuana. Also reported is a 30enne, stopped in the car with 70 grams of cannabis and subsequently searched at home, where they were found another 145 grams.

Another 22 year old has been reported to the Prefecture of Palermo as a drug user, since he was found with a dose of marijuana.

A borgetto, 38 year old reported for driving under the influence of alcohol, after being caught doing dangerous high-speed maneuvers with a blood alcohol level of 1.04 g/l.

Overall, 56 cars and 84 people were checked, with fines of 1.200 euros and the seizure of a vehicle. The seized drugs were sent to the Narcotics Analysis Laboratory of the Provincial Command of Palermo for investigation.

Operations of checks will continue in the next few days to combat widespread crime.
