La Padua Flying Squad, with the support of Pordenone Mobile Squad, identified and dismantled a gang composed of four men of Albanian nationality, held responsible for numerous home burglaries committed in the last few weeks in the municipalities of Padua, Albignasego and province.
The four were tracked down in a hideout in the province of Pordenone, where they had taken refuge for several days and from which they continued to strike in the area.
Inside the apartment, at the time of the raid, the officers found the gang who had just returned after having committed three thefts on the same evening.

The investigation: from video surveillance to the hideout
The rapid and complex investigative activity began following the increase in burglaries recorded in the Padua area in recent days.
The analysis of the first elements allowed us to identify:
-
a large-engined car, registered to a front man, used to reach the areas to be hit;
-
secondary routes used to avoid checks or filming;
-
details in clothing of the subjects, filmed by cameras in the area;
-
la logistics base used as a shelter, located in a hospitality facility in the Pordenone area.
The identification of the car and its movements allowed the location of the den, avoiding a possible escape to a new destination.
The raid and the material found
During the night between Wednesday and Thursday, about fifteen officers broke into the apartment.
The four men, returning after yet another raid, were stopped. One of them had moved his bed under the window in an attempt to escape immediately, but was prevented by the officers.
During the search the following were found: jewels and trinkets in gold and silver; precious stones; Cash; burglary tools, including a large drill, screwdrivers, pliers, and two-way radios.
The overall value of the recovered stolen goods is approximately 200.000 €, which will be returned to its rightful owners as soon as possible.

The identification allowed us to ascertain that two of the four men were fugitives.
The others have different criminal records for residential burglaries and related crimes: a 25-year-old with no criminal record, in Italy since 2018; a 35-year-old arrested several times between 2012 and 2023; a 34-year-old wanted on a pre-trial detention order and arrested in 2023 and 2024; and a 36-year-old with several aliases and convicted in 2021 for dozens of similar incidents.
The four men were subjected to judicial police custody for the thefts committed on the evening of the raid and, for two of them, the pending measures were also executed.
At the end of the investigations, the four were taken to the Pordenone prison available to the Judicial Authority.
