Piazza Garibaldi: Caught with Drugs on Stolen Electric Bike, Arrested by State Police

Piazza Garibaldi: caught with drugs aboard a stolen electric bike, arrested by the State Police.

The State Police arrested a 32-year-old Senegalese man, illegally residing in the country, for illegal possession of narcotics and resisting a public official.
In particular, the officers of the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station, during the territorial control service, while passing through via Milano they noticed a subject on an electric bicycle who was giving something to another in exchange for money when, at the sight of the operators, he put everything back in his pockets to escape.

The police chased him and, not without difficulty, stopped him in Corso Novara where he was found in possession of 23 packages of heroin, a dose of marijuana and 235 euros in banknotes of various denominations.
The officers also found that the electric bike in his possession had been stolen in September of last year in Avellino; therefore, the 32-year-old was also reported for receiving stolen goods, while the bicycle was returned to its rightful owner.
