The Carabinieri of the Nola Company, led by Captain Edgar Pica, gave a moment of joy and hope to the little patients hospitalized at the Pediatric department of the Santa Maria della Pietà Hospital in Nola.
The initiative, promoted by the military of the Nola company, involved approximately ten children between the ages of three and seven, who were given Christmas toys and gifts. A simple but very meaningful gesture, which brought smiles and a pinch of serenity to those who will be forced to spend Christmas away from home.

Also present at the event was the medical director of the hospital, doctor Joseph Lombardi, who enthusiastically welcomed the initiative:
“It is truly a pleasure also because I come from a family of Carabinieri and having my 'family' inside the hospital is a unique emotion. I also saw the light of those children when they saw the Carabinieri in uniform bringing them gifts. An indescribable feeling, I think that with this action we brought a caress and a smile to children less fortunate than others. I thank the Carabinieri and I hope that there will be other occasions like this.”
The initiative represents a tangible example of solidarity, underlining the deep bond between the Arma and the community. Also present at the delivery of the gifts Don Carlo Giuliano, the hospital's parish priest, appeared visibly moved.
Il Captain Edgar Pica ha aggiunto:
“Closeness to people, especially those living in fragile situations, is an integral part of our mission. Today we are here not only as Carabinieri, but as people who want to offer a moment of serenity and joy to children and their families.”
The event, full of emotion and human warmth, confirms the fundamental role that the Carabinieri they cover the social fabric, showing sensitivity and attention towards the weakest, especially during the Christmas holidays.
