Naples, warnings and suspensions of commercial activities for the sale of alcohol to minors and noise.

Following the new Urban Security Police Regulation, approved in December 2022, which introduced new and more severe sanctions against commercial establishments and administration activities, the Municipality has ordered the strengthening of local police controls, in particular in the so-called “Movida” areas small town, with regards to violations relating to cases of illegal occupation of public land, sale of alcohol to minors, sale and serving of alcoholic beverages after 3:00 am and violation of the regulations on noise impact.

The new regulation provides, after the communications to initiate the procedure, in case of repeated violations, a series of sanctions ranging from a warning, to suspension of the activity for 3, 7 or 30 days up to the revocation of the License. Since the entry into force of the new regulation 1330 fines were issued for illegal land occupations, sales of alcohol to minors and violations of the regulations on noise impact.

From these minutes arose an intense activity of the One-Stop Shop for Productive Activities (SUAP) which led a total of approximately 700 warnings, approximately 70 orders to suspend business for 3 days for commercial establishments with or without table service, 20 suspensions between 7 and 30 days for the sale of alcohol to minors and violations of noise impact regulations and a revocation of a license for a bar in the Chiaia area.
