Naples: The 'seamstresses of Scampia' mobilize for the Venus of rags.
La sale of products made by 13 young people "seamstresses from Scampia" With the purpose of send a message of redemption for the city of Naples and for its young people, it is in program Thursday 27 July from 10am to 18pm.
Upon opening of the stand were attended by Mayor Gaetano Manfredi and Labor Councilor Chiara Marciani, which has always been close to the Città Nuove foundation which - as part of a project innovative start-ups financed by the Municipality of Naples – started a Scampia a social tailoring at an asset confiscated from the Camorra. The objective is to encourage the transition from school integration to work integration of 13 young women from Scampia district at risk of marginalization who, after a previous school dropout, returned to training, obtaining a professional qualification as a clothing operator.
