Marigliano: Carabinieri checks in the Pontecitra district, illegal cameras and contraband cigarettes.

In the heart of the working-class neighborhood of Pontecitra, in the municipality of Marigliano, the Carabinieri of the Castello di Cisterna Company carried out an extraordinary control service. Supported by the Campania Regiment, the military carried out checkpoints and dozens of house searches

In one of the homes inspected, the Carabinieri found two blank-firing pistols without red caps, complete with magazines. In another apartment, a 32-year-old kept a considerable sum of money in his home, almost twenty-eight thousand euros. With the money, a money-counting machine and surveillance cameras strategically placed around the perimeter of the home to monitor the interventions of the police.

Three people reported for cigarette smuggling. They were caught on the street, with the “blondes” on display on some makeshift stalls. 4 kilos of tobacco seized.

During the operations, the Carabinieri also stopped a young man found in possession of a small amount of hashish. Finally, in a stairwell in the neighborhood, sixteen sticks of hashish were found, hidden and presumably ready for sale.
