He allegedly set fire to his wife's and his mother-in-law's car and, while fleeing, lost his cell phone.
A 37-year-old from Giugliano in Campania was arrested for mistreatment in the family and damage followed by arson.
The Carabinieri of the local radiomobile section recovered the phone already while the fire was being extinguished and analyzed the messages sent that same day to his wife. Many death threats.
According to what was reconstructed by the military, thanks also to the testimonies of the victim and her family, the man, together with his wife and children, attended a soccer match of the older child.

During the match he allegedly drank a lot and, before heading home, some acquaintances convinced him to let his wife drive. On the way he allegedly insulted and threatened the woman and then squeezed her wrist. All in front of their children, aged 3 and 8.
Fearing that she would be attacked, the woman left her husband at home and fled elsewhere.

The 37-year-old, meanwhile, set fire to the two cars and drove away until he disappeared without a trace.
The Carabinieri, after reconstructing the entire evening, tracked down the 37-year-old and arrested him. From the victim's complaint, years of harassment emerged.

He is now in prison, awaiting trial.
