Castellammare di Stabia: Support teacher arrested for sexual violence against minors.

A shocking case has shocked the community of Castellammare di Stabia, in the province of Naples. A 40-year-old support teacher, working at the Catello-Salvati Institute, was arrested on charges of mistreatment, sexual violence, inducing sexual acts and corruption of minors. The victims are students of the school, all under the age of 14.

The origin of the investigations

The investigation began on November 14, when some parents attacked the teacher inside the school, accusing her of molesting their children. During the attack, the teacher's father, who intervened to help her, was also injured. The episode led to mutual complaints and an investigation launched by the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office. The statements of the parents and minors involved have helped shed light on a disturbing reality.

The charges and the evidence collected

According to investigators, the teacher allegedly abused her position of trust to establish a manipulative relationship with her students. The charges include the use of a classroom, nicknamed “La Saletta,” where the woman allegedly showed pornographic material, engaged in sexually explicit conversations, and induced students to perform intimate gestures, to the point of committing direct abuse against one of them.

The evidence collected includes voice messages, exchanged via Instagram and WhatsApp, which confirm the content of the accusations. Investigators also seized the teacher's phone, finding pornographic material consistent with what the victims described during the hearings.

School management and unanswered questions

The incident has raised serious questions about school management. Prosecutor Nunzio Fragliasso wondered why the teacher had been given responsibility for more than one student, despite her role as a support teacher being theoretically limited to just one student. This aspect will be the subject of further investigation.

The judicial consequences

The preliminary investigations judge defined the woman as a "slave of her impulses", underlining the need for pretrial detention in prison as the only adequate measure to prevent the repetition of the crimes. House arrest was excluded due to the risk that the teacher could continue to maintain contact with minors through the Internet. The teacher was transferred to the women's prison in Benevento.

A shocked community

The case has sparked a wave of indignation and grief among parents and the school community. The investigation represents a moment of reflection on the importance of monitoring the dynamics within schools and ensuring a safe environment for students.

The arrest marks an important turning point in the investigation, but the path to justice and protection for the minors involved remains long and complex.
