I continue tight controls by the State Police along the Asse Mediano, an area often affected by predatory crimes and the scene of targeted counter-operations ordered by the Naples Police HeadquartersYesterday afternoon, during a patrol service, the officers of the Frattamaggiore Police Station they arrested an 18 year old from Arzano, with a police record, for threats, aggravated damage to public administration property, injury e resistance to a Public Official.

During the control of the territory, the police noticed on the Asse Mediano, at the height of the junction Aversa–Melito, a car with two men on board with their faces covered. At the sight of the patrol, the driver suddenly accelerated, attempting to evade control. A high-speed chase ensued: the vehicle performed extremely dangerous maneuvers, putting traffic at risk. The escape ended in Via Vittorio Veneto in Frattamaggiore, when the speeding car collided with a police car and some passing vehicles.

At that point, the two occupants abandoned the car and attempted to flee on foot. The officers, also thanks to the support of the Afragola police station, they managed to block one of the two, later identified as the 18-year-old. The arrest did not come without difficulty: the young man allegedly resisted and made threatening remarks to the operators, according to the reconstruction by the police. In the vehicle used for the escape, the police also found and seized a replica pistol without the red cap, potentially capable of generating alarm. At the end of the checks, the suspect was arrested by the personnel operating for the alleged crimes.
