Cimitile (Naples): reports the loan shark who charged exorbitant interest. 42-year-old arrested for usury.

The preliminary investigations judge of Nola has accepted the request for validation of the arrest made by the Public Prosecutor in relation to the arrest, in flagrante delicto, of a 42 year old individual with no criminal record from Cimitile, seriously suspected of crime of usury, ordering the application of the precautionary measure of custody in prison.

The investigations carried out by the Carabinieri of the Cimitile station, with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Nola, made it possible to proceed with arrest in flagrante delicto of the subject suspected of the crime of usury, through the acquisition of numerous documents and by means of expert observation, shadowing and control activities carried out together with the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Nola Company, which allowed the payment of the usurious installment of €3.500,00 found in the young man's possession to be ascertained; At his home the military found further cash in banknotes of various denominations and other evidentiary documentation.

The investigations arose following the complaint presented by a 44-year-old businesswoman from Nolan who, since November 2018, after receiving loan from the aforementioned the sum of approximately €20.000,00, she had been forced to repay a total amount of approximately €170.000,00 as interest only and the same was asked to pay a further amount estimated, according to the suspect's calculations, as equal to a further €240.000,00, having applied calculation methods in the delay in payments sometimes equal to 10% for each day of delay.

The vortex system of wear thus generated had led the victim to give considerable amounts of money for many years while remaining, despite this, always a slave to his debt, which, due to the very high interest, had now reached unlikely proportions compared to the original debt.

Following his arrest, the suspect was taken to the Naples Poggioreale prison, awaiting trial.
