At Franco Parenti it is demonstrated that "theatre is safe"

The desire for theater for those who - like me - loved it, studied it and even practiced it in an amateur way as a girl, is great. Too much. Fans of the ritual of the mask as ancient as art and culture, born with Greek tragedy and comedy, can no longer give up experiencing that ritual.

Today a Milano there was someone who, with a brilliant idea, was able to demonstrate that the theatre, like many cultural activities, could also be reborn little by little in safety and without violating the anti-covid regulations. This someone is called Andrèe Ruth Shammah and she is the volcanic director of Franco Parenti Milano who, on the occasion of the theater's anniversary (16 January 1973), opened the curtain for a curious "wish". In practice, the director called some friends (Claudio Bisio, Massimo Recalcati, who announced his first piece "Amen", and Corrado Tedeschi) and "enrolled" a hundred faithful spectators to actively participate in a particular show: between dances tribal and stage readings the spectators themselves discussed together the meaning of theater and how much and what is missing from it. On how different the streaming of a show is from the same show experienced in the theater despite the "magical" slowness of the theater. On stage, as a spectator rather than a protagonist, Bisio himself and Corrado Tedeschi took to the stage, who has just emerged from Covid and showed a video in which he accompanies his grandson to discover behind the scenes. Rules respected with distancing, masks, disinfectants and rapid swabs at the entrance have shown that - despite greatly reducing shows and audiences - we could and - I would say - should return to the theater soon. For our mental health. Thanks Andrèe, if her idea multiplied in the country it would be oxygen for everyone and we know that we really need it.
