In Sesto San Giovanni (MI) the State Police have arrested a 27-year-old Belarusian citizen and a 22-year-old fellow countrywoman on suspicion of crime, believed to be responsible for receiving stolen goods and laundering cars.

The agents of the Sesto San Giovanni police station, continuing an activity in the city territory related to the receiving of high-powered cars by Lithuanian citizens, have noticed several times a compact city car with Ukrainian license plates that was wandering around the city streets with no apparent destination. Last Saturday, July 13, at around 19:XNUMX p.m., the police officers of Via Fiume noticed the two people stop the car in Via Torino and get out into the underground garage of a building carrying a trolley. Having closed themselves in the garage for about ten minutes, in which the police officers spotted a off-road vehicle worth over 230 thousand euros, the two then returned to their car without the trolley.

On Monday 15 July, around 15pm, the man returned to his car in Via Torino to enter the garage, struggling with the keys to open it: immediately blocked by the police, the man attempted to escape by breaking the key in the lock, thus making it necessary to call a locksmith; inside the garage, in addition to the large suitcase left the previous Saturday, the off-road vehicle with German license plate and much other material were found. From an initial examination of the material, it was immediately clear that it was all suitable for receiving and recycling cars: they were found 150 car license plates of various nationalities, many of which with attached documents with chassis number, 15 identification documents of various subjects of various Eastern European nationalities, keys to various cars both already printed and blank, tablets, diagnostic/reset and code reading tools for all the cars , specific laser equipment for writing on steel and frequency jammers.

All the material was seized and the police had the sturdy vehicle transported from the garage to the police station for more in-depth technical checks, verifying the discrepancy between the data delivered by the dealership and the identification data physically stamped on the car, in particular the number not matching of chassis/number plate and the color of the interior trim.

Having had these further findings, having supported the hypothesis that the German car found in the possession of the two Belarusian citizens is the plot of a crime and having considered that, since they do not have a residence in Italy and are about to leave, as they admitted, with suitcases full of clothes, the officers of the Sesto San Giovanni Police Station have placed the suspect under arrest. the two, held responsible for the crime of receiving stolen goods and money laundering, who were taken respectively to the Monza prison and to the Female Section of the "Cataldo" prison in Milano.
