Sesto San Giovanni: drugs, robbery and injuries. The State Police arrests 4 people

The State Police a Milano, on 10 and 11 February last, executed a precautionary measure of detention in prison, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Monza, against 4 non-EU citizens of Egyptian origin following the commission of the crimes of robbery, aggravated assault and drug dealing.

The Investigative Team of the Sesto San Giovanni Police Station following a serious assault suffered by an Egyptian citizen in December 2024 inside a bar in Piazza Marinai d'Italia in Sesto San Giovanni (a few days ago subjected to a 15-day license suspension by the Police Chief of Milano) who suffered several lacerated wounds all over his body as well as a significant gash to his face (with involvement of the muscle tissue of approximately 10 cm from his lip to his left ear), proceeded to carry out a complex investigation aimed at identifying those responsible in a group of citizens of Egyptian origin dedicated to drug dealing in the Sesto area with violent actions and through the use of bladed weapons aimed at establishing the predominance of their illicit activities against other compatriots within the same drug dealing area.

The same people, as also confirmed by the investigations conducted by personnel of the Sesto SG Local Police, were also responsible for an attack in the first days of January 2025 against another Egyptian citizen who, in an attempt to escape his attackers, had entered a commercial establishment and was reached by the group of associates who, after having hit him with kicks and punches and threatened the manager not to intervene, attacked the fugitive, wounding him with a knife to the head and limbs.

The seriousness of the facts, the social dangerousness of the subjects involved and the possibility of repetition of such bloody crimes have determined the issuing of the Order by the GIP of the Court of Monza of pre-trial detention in prison for the four subjects, all of Egyptian ethnicity and aged between 19 and 35, carried out, on three of them, on 10 January last, while the youngest was taken to the prison in Monza today.

The Sesto police officers, in carrying out the order, also found in the home of the 35 year old Egyptian citizen two blocks of hashish for about 200g, and the sum of 3855,00 euros in cash, divided into various banknotes entirely compatible with the illicit activity carried out.

The four subjects were taken to the Monza prison.
