Fraud against an elderly person Milano: 37-year-old arrested for fraud

The State Police has arrested a Milano, in flagrante delicto, a 37 year old Italian citizen, with numerous criminal records, responsible for the fraud committed against an elderly, heart-diseased and disabled person, with the excuse of fake car damage. In the course of services to combat theft and predatory crimes arranged by the Police Headquarters Milano, The agents of the Flying Squad, passing near the parking lot of a rehabilitation center in via Palazzolo, they noticed the suspect who, in an aggressive manner, was arguing with an elderly man who was clearly in difficulty.

While the 37-year-old was showing the 83-year-old pensioner the rear part of his car, pointing out a phantom damage consisting of white streaks, the policemen proceeded to check the car in the database and it was reported for the commission of various types of fraud, including the "mirror scam". At that moment, the 37-year-old had started to raise his voice towards the elderly man who was being skeptical about having caused the damage with the door of his white small car.

By placing the elderly man in an increasingly difficult and clearly submissive state, the scammer managed to get him to hand over a 5 euro note, the only one in the pensioner's possession, before getting back into the car and driving away. The police officers, who intervened promptly to block the car with the rear windows darkened, they discovered that the suspect's wife and little son were sitting in the back seat. The suspect was found in possession of the 5 euro note and, in the glove compartment near the gear shift, a piece of white chalk and a black eraser used to create scratches on the car and carry out fraud.

The man was arrested for the fraud and the police took care of the tearful and shaking 84-year-old, calling an ambulance to check his basic parameters. Once he had recovered his strength and refused transportation, the pensioner filed a complaint and recovered his stolen goods.
