Calabria is the protagonist at “Artigiano in Fiera” at Fieramilano Rho from November 30th to December 8th.

The Calabria Region will be at Fieramilano Rho, from November 30th to December 8th, for “Artigiano in Fiera”, the most important international trade fair event dedicated to crafts and small businesses.

An important event which the Calabria Region, thanks to the synergy of the Departments of Economic Development and Agriculture, will be present with a large exhibition area of ​​over 1.600 square meters to enhance and promote the excellence of the area, from the artistic craftsmanship sector to the agri-food sector.

"It is a pleasure to announce that there will be 135 artisans participating with the regional collective at Artigiano in Fiera. Also this year - Explains Regional Councillor for Economic Development and Cultural Attractions Rosario Varì - we asked the Fair Authority to be able to increase the number of participants to give all the Calabrian artisans who responded to the expression of interest the opportunity to showcase, in an international showcase of sure success, the extraordinary beauty of their art and the flavor of their excellent products. For the inauguration of the Calabria pavilion - continues Varì -, scheduled for the early afternoon of Saturday 30 November, we have chosen two symbols of Calabrian artisanal and entrepreneurial quality: Fortunato Amarelli, of the historic Calabrian company, emblem of how craftsmanship can evolve while maintaining its roots, and Antongiulio Grande, famous stylist who has made his art and creativity a luxury brand".

"During the event - he concludes Councillor Varì - there will be a special space to tell the strategies and visions of development of Calabrian craftsmanship, an event in which representatives of the trade associations - Confartigianato, Cna and Casa Artigiani - will also participate, with which the regional government has established an excellent collaborative relationship".

A series of moments are also planned to introduce and taste the excellent products of regional food and wine.

On the merits, the regional councillor for Agriculture, Gianluca Gallo, which will be present at Artigiano in Fiera alongside quality agri-food companies, specifies that “The aim is to strengthen the image of authentic Calabria and high quality, also through the typical and innovative productions of our artisans in the agri-food sector who continue to gain success and international awards. Among the expected guests – announces Councilor Gallo – also the greatest pastry chef in Italy, Iginio Massari, with whom we will tell a very sweet and excellent Calabria".
