Revocation of the License to 'La Gintoneria di Davide' of Milano: Arrests and Investigations for Exploitation of Prostitution and Drug Dealing

The commissioner of Milano Bruno Megale, within the scope of the activity of prevention, territorial control and monitoring of public places in Milan carried out by law enforcement to combat crime, pursuant to art. 100 paragraph 2 of the TULPS, revoked the license of the owner of the premises “La Gintoneria di Davide” with entrance in via Napo Torriani in Milano.

The police officers of the Administrative and Social Police Division of the Police Headquarters notified the provision to the the owner, against which it was the precautionary measure of house arrest was applied and he is under investigation for possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of dealing and for the exploitation of prostitution, committed in the premises and in the vicinity of the same, obtaining illicit profits through increased prices and home deliveries to prostitutes.

Considering that the holder has already been the recipient of two license suspension orders ex art 100 TULPS (a rule which pursues the objective of preventing the recurrence of dangerous situations, of impeding illicit behaviour and of providing a response to social alarm) and in consideration of an objectively dangerous and intolerable situation for public safety and order, the Commissioner of Milano ordered the revocation of the license.
