Milano, the League close to the protesting restaurateurs
“We are alongside workers and entrepreneurs in the restaurant sector to support them and find solutions that will help them overcome this emergency period. In the meantime, as regional councilors we will work to provide concrete support to restaurateurs and other economic activities most affected by these emergency measures". Thus Gianmarco Senna (pres. IV Productive Activities Commission) and Alessandro Corbetta, regional councilors of the League, who brought their closeness to restaurateurs, bartenders and nightclub staff who demonstrated at Milano in front of Palazzo Lombardia. “The category of restaurateurs and venues who work mainly in the evening and at night – underline Senna and Corbetta – is the one most affected by the drastic measures made necessary by the worsening of the health emergency. It is useless to hide, as we have always said, that concrete economic support is necessary for the economic operators of the most affected categories: on this the government, which manages significantly greater resources than those of the Region (which has been doing its part since March and without sparing himself) must finally give certain answers". “The challenge we must face is to overcome the health emergency, while at the same time defending our economy, that is, those who work and produce the wealth thanks to which Lombardy is the locomotive of Italy. And precisely because of this importance, it is essential that the Conte government stops turning a deaf ear and finally introduces adequate and immediate support measures for operators in the economic catering sector" conclude the councilors.
