“I am very proud – Locatelli stated – that this important moment is approaching especially for Lombardy and Veneto. I am also very happy that many works concern the theme of accessibility and the elimination of architectural and sensorial barriers, as well as communication and information. It's a very important topic., we are continuing rapidly along this path".
Inclusion at work
"On work inclusion for people with disabilities – the minister continued in the interview – swe are also investing a lot from an institutional point of view. In first place is the collaboration between the business world, the private sector and the third sector. At an institutional level, we can do even more".
"By the end of this year – continued Alessandra Locatelli – there will be a call for tenders aimed at third sector entities that already do work inclusion, to improve and expand the activity. This is a measure that will make available approximately 300 million euros. What I also hope to do with the disability reform is promote a new perspective, more than on the limits of each person, on the potential, capabilities, talents and skills".
Accessibility in tourism
"In the tourism sector – said Locatelli – in collaboration with Minister Santanchè, we are carrying forward a line of interventions both from a social point of view and from a point of view strictly linked to hotel structures. The goal is giving everyone the opportunity to invest in accessibility. So we can further make our facilities, our territories and our beauties accessible to all, improving them from the point of view of eliminating architectural, information and communication barriers".
"When we do something - Minister Locatelli concluded - we have to do it for everyone, even from a tourism point of view. This year, as the Ministry for Disabilities, we have invested almost double the resources of previous years in the sector: 50 million euros available to the Regions for projects that go in this direction".
