Cold-Blooded Execution in a Bakery: Killer on the Run, Investigation Underway
Milano was shaken by a serious episode of violence late Saturday afternoon. A shooting inside a bakery in Piazzale Gambara left one man dead and another seriously injured. Law enforcement is looking for the perpetrator, who is currently on the run.
The dynamics of the facts
According to initial reports, the shooting occurred around 18:30 p.m. Two men, both of Ukrainian origin, were inside the store to buy something to eat. The owner of the shop had momentarily gone to the kitchen to satisfy their request when a third man entered the store and opened fire on them.
The toll of the shooting is tragic: a 49-year-old man was fatally shot and his 26-year-old compatriot suffered very serious injuries. The killer immediately fled and is now actively sought by the police.
The intervention of the emergency services
As soon as the alarm was raised, the 118 health workers intervened on the spot with two ambulances and two medical cars. The injured man was rushed to the San Carlo hospital with a red code, while the other man, in desperate conditions, was taken to the Policlinico, where the doctors confirmed his death shortly after his arrival.
The police investigations
Law enforcement is working tirelessly to trace the identity and motives of the attacker. The Flying Squad agents and the Scientific Police are working to collect evidence and testimonies. Technical surveys were carried out at the scene of the shooting to determine the exact dynamics of the shots and look for any clues that could help identify the perpetrator.
At the moment, the motive for the murder is still unclear. No investigative lead has been ruled out, including a settling of scores or a personal conflict between the victim and the killer. The police are examining the images from surveillance cameras in the area to reconstruct the killer's movements and identify any accomplices.
An episode that reignites the debate on security
The episode has raised numerous questions about public safety in the Lombardy capital. The shooting, which occurred in a busy area and a few steps from the subway stop, has caused great concern among residents and shopkeepers in the area, who are calling for greater controls by the authorities.
Investigations are ongoing and the police are inviting anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward to help capture the person responsible for this serious bloodbath.
