A serious fire broke out on Thursday evening in a five-story building in Via Fatima, in the Giambellino area of Milano.
Sixteen people were taken to hospital due to smoke inhalation. Their conditions are not worrying, but a 53-year-old man is hospitalized in serious conditions at the Niguarda hospital.
The fire broke out around 22:30 p.m. on the mezzanine floor of the five-story public housing building. According to initial reports, the flames developed in an apartment and were quickly contained thanks to the timely intervention of the Fire Brigade from the teams in via Darwin and the central office. Despite this, the smoke quickly spread to the common areas, causing the intoxication of 16 people.
