Milano: The Spirit de Milan open for holidays in August!

Even in hot summer, Milanese venue with a vintage taste, it accompanies lovers of live swing, jazz, blues music and more with always new events with live music, dancing and lots of fun.

These are the upcoming events:

TUESDAY 1 AUGUST

At 22.00pm – “CA.BAR.ET BOH.VISA. MILANO 5.0 – Music and cabaret off the screen” in the August version: protagonists of this special version Flavio Pirini, Folco Orselli and surprise guests not to be missed.

The cabaret is also broadcast on SpiritoPhono every Tuesday at 19pm.

WEDNESDAY 2 AUGUST

At 22.00pm – BECAUSE IT TAKES AN EAR – OPEN MIC: the Spirit stage is open to everyone (amateur and non-amateur singers and musicians) to perform with their musical instrument on one or two songs of their choice. Thursday August 3

At 22.00pm – BARBERA & CHAMPAGNE with TEKA P: group that in their show alternates songs of their own production and classical pieces by artists such as Enzo Jannacci, Cochi and Renato, Giorgio Gaber, Walter Valdi, Dario Fo.

FRIDAY 4 AUGUST

At 22.30pm – YELLOW FLAG with FUNKY TOWN: an evening of music by Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars and many others, with an enveloping sound that combines the power of old-fashioned soul and the freedom of funk.

Followed by a DJ set with 70s-80s-90s music by Alex Biasco.

Entrance ticket €20 with a drink for those who come after dinner (15 euros for Spirit de Milan Aps 2023 members), €15 with a drink for those having an aperitif (10 euros for Spirit de Milan Aps 2023 members), €7 for those he's coming to dinner.

Saturday August 5

At 22.30pm – HOLY SWING NIGHT with MR ANDREW & THE GOOD GUYS: group that over the years has made use of the collaboration of great instrumentalists of the genre, participating in various national and international festivals and events and which offers a repertoire of classics of the American jazz tradition strictly linked to the Swing Era of the 30s and 40s.

Followed by Swing DJ set with Big Mama.

Entrance ticket €7 for those having dinner or an aperitif, €15 with drink for those coming after dinner (€10 for Spirit de Milan Aps 2023 members).

Sunday August 6

At 22.00pm – SPIRIT IN BLUES with TINO CAPPELLETTI & KAPPELMAN JOY BAND: after having played for about 20 years in the Treves Blues Band and for another 15 years with the Baker Street Band - first as bassist then as guitarist - Tino Cappelletti created his Kappelman Joy Band in 2011 with which he recorded his first solo work . He boasts several collaborations with American blues greats and has participated in the most prestigious Italian and European blues festivals.

MONDAY 7 AUGUST Spirit de Milan remains closed.

TUESDAY 8 AUGUST

WEDNESDAY 9 AUGUST

At 19.30pm – concert by MAX AND VERONICA: Max De Bernardi, great connoisseur of the country blues genre, meets Veronica Sbergia, singer, ukulele player and washboard player. Together since 2009, from the beginning of 2017 they decide to give life to a new musical path under the name Max & Veronica. The repertoire focuses on American Roots music, not only Blues but also country, folk, ragtime and swing. All played with acoustic instruments and with attention to tradition, managing at the same time to make this musical proposal fresh and extremely enjoyable for the public.

Thursday August 10

At 22.00pm – BARBERA & CHAMPAGNE with LUCA MACIACCHINI: an all-Milan one-man show with a show that is an anthology of songs belonging to the repertoire of Lombard popular song and Milanese cabaret, from Nanni Svampa to Walter Valdi, from Enzo Jannacci to the grotesque songs of Luca Maciacchini himself.

FRIDAY 11 AUGUST

At 22.30pm – YELLOW FLAG with BLOW: with their repertoire that aims to be a tribute to the greatest global hits of pop, hip hop, r'n'b rock and dance music, the show offers a show of thematic medleys by genre and artist, in a continuous flow of music engaging to sing and dance on a real musical journey!

Followed by DJ Set with Andrea Amici.
