Massimo Sirelli and Bicocca Village: A Robotic Love between Art and Innovation.

Milano, Bicocca Village is transformed into a stage of art and creativity to celebrate love in a new guise. From 12 to 28 February, the shopping centre will host some initiatives resulting from the collaboration with Massimo Sirelli, one of the most appreciated Italian artists in the field of creative recovery.

"Collaborating with Bicocca Village is an exciting journey,” says the artist “because it is precisely where you least expect it that art meets community.

A meeting between art, sustainability and technology that will give life to two unique projects. The first, Robots In Love, will see the artist engaged on Wednesday 12 February in a live performance that will give birth to two giant robots, symbol of a futuristic love that blends emotion and innovation, which will remain on display until 28 February.

"Creating robots taller than 3 meters is a fascinating challenge that allows us to play with our emotions and fears about the future”, says Sirelli “We want the audience to feel inspired and involved, because every artwork is an open conversation.

With the second project, Adopt a Robot, the emphasis is on the importance of recycling and how everyday objects can be transformed into works of art. Until February 12, in fact, visitors will be able to donate unused objects by delivering them to the Bicocca Village and thus contributing to the creation of a unique robot, which will be adopted by the shopping center.

"This project is not only a way to create art, but also to build a cohesive community around the idea that beauty can emerge from what we often consider waste."

To enrich the initiative, a photographic exhibition dedicated to the most iconic robots created by Sirelli: small works of art made with recycled materials that release a unique soul, capable of fascinating and surprising the public.

Giuseppe Tilone and Verdiana Scarpini of the Management of Bicocca Village.: “We are proud to host an initiative that perfectly embodies the values of Bicocca Village: innovation, creativity and sustainability. Massimo Sirelli's project is not only an extraordinary artistic expression, but also an opportunity to actively involve our community in a message of transformation and rebirth. Seeing waste materials take on new life in the form of works of art is a powerful reminder of how important it is to rethink our relationship with the environment and with technology. We hope that this experience can inspire our visitors, inviting them to look to the future with curiosity and with a heart open to art and innovation”

The event Robots In Love at Bicocca Village promises to be a journey through art, innovation and sustainability, demonstrating how creative recovery can give life to extraordinary stories.
