Cologno Monzese, the skate park on Via Volta was vandalized and set on fire.

A meeting point for children and teenagers, skateboarding and cycling enthusiasts, also frequented by families with children in tow, a daily meeting point for playing and relaxing for days, and a meeting place for young and very young people in the afternoon and evening.

We are talking about the skate track present in the park next to the middle school in Via Volta, a work created as a structure for social inclusion and redevelopment of the park itself which was brutally vandalised and given on fire.

Part of the structure is literally unusable, completely burned.

The sadness, say some very young people who used to spend time in the Skate park, when they see the charred track, is great.

The serious vandalism apparently occurred on the night of December 27, probably between 2 and 3 am.

According to some boys, the area that night at that time was poorly lit, the flames as you can see from the images completely rendered part of the structure unusable, charred.

It is hoped that the culprits will be identified and that such acts will not happen again, in addition to the restoration of the seriously damaged skate track.

In the meantime, the Local Police of Cologno Monzese will check for any evidence from surveillance cameras in the area.

The mayor of Cologno Monzese, Stefano Zanelli, reached by telephone, declared: La Milano"Regret for an ignoble act especially because the same park and the same skate track are frequented across the board by citizens of all ages, both families with children and a daily and evening meeting place for young and very young people.

I hope that in the next few days the Local Police will give us some feedback on what happened.” concludes Zanelli.
