Cologno Monzese, Mayor Zanelli suspends the delegations of Councilors Verzino and Arosio.

Cologno Monzese (Milano), with decree no. 27 of 17/12/2024, the Mayor of Cologno Monzese Stefano Zanelli has taken over the delegations previously attributed to the Councilors Loredana Verzino and Andrea Arosio, the latter of which remain in the composition of the Municipal Council.

The decision to suspend the Mayor

“The choice to suspend the assessor delegations – declares the Mayor of Cologno Monzese Stefano Zanelli – is a direct consequence of what happened last night in the last session of the City Council. It is absolutely clear that last night's statements by the Group Leader of Cologno Solidale e Democratica open a crisis within the center-left majority that I have led until now.”

“The list – continues the Mayor – she disagreed with the shared political directions and, without warning me first, she chose this incorrect way to open a crisis. Certainly there is a reflection to be conducted, and for this reason I deemed it necessary to suspend the delegations to Councilors Verzino and Arosio, pending the necessary clarifications with the majority, clarifications that will take place in the coming weeks”.
