Operation "Square": Carabinieri dismantled a cocaine trafficking network active in Bollate and the North Milano, 12 arrests and 27 searches
A criminal organization with a pyramid structure based in Bollate, specializing in cocaine trafficking throughout the northern Milan area, was identified. Drugs, weapons, and cash were seized.

I Carabinieri of the Rho Group, by delegation of Public Prosecutor's Office Milano – Seventh Department, they carried out a large-scale anti-drug operation which led to 12 arrests between Bollate, Garbagnate Milanese, Novate Milanese, Baranzate, Arese, Senago, Paderno Dugnano, Cantù and Caronno Pertusella.
The action was triggered by a precautionary custody order issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Milano, towards 11 Guests - 3 ended up in prison and 8 under house arrest – withholdings seriously suspected of criminal association aimed at trafficking and dealing cocaine.
At the same time, they were 14 more people reported e 27 house searches were carried out which led to two more arrests in flagrante delicto, to drug possession and possession of an illegal weapon.
The investigation, which lasted six months and was conducted by Carabinieri of the Bollate Station, allowed to reconstruct the entire criminal organization: a hierarchically structured network, with well-defined roles and tasks.
At the top there was a 35-year-old construction entrepreneur, known in drug dealing circles by the nickname of “Bad”, considered the leader of the association.
The man was running the cocaine supply and distribution to pushers, coordinated by a intermediate figure which controlled the movements and sales flows in the various "places".
The investigations – based on shadowing, telephone and environmental interceptions e video shoot – they documented a drug dealing system rooted in the municipalities of the North Milano, in particular Branded, where the organization had its base of operations.
“Square”: the code name for squares and doses
The name of the operation, “Square”, derives from modus operandi of the group, which had divided the territory into “squares” and “squares” of drug dealing.
Le doses of cocaine, packaged in square heat-sealed clear cellophane wrappers, were recognized by buyers with a conventional code: in cell phones, customers saved the pusher's contact with the name "Square".
The drug dealing took place in every possible context: in the isolated parking lots, in the public gardens, in front of supermarkets and clubs, or with home delivery, even hiding drugs in pizza boxes to evade controls.
During the operation, the Carabinieri seized from the head of the organization a Beretta 7,65 caliber pistol serial number abraded, 14 cartridges, 260 grams of cocaine, 14.240 euros in cash e packaging tools.
During the execution of the measures, a person was also arrested Italian born in 2003, found in possession of 220 doses of cocaine e 235 euros in cash.
These arrests are in addition to the six have already been executed in flagrante during the investigative phase, during which the Carabinieri had also two more pushers reported e A total of 328 doses of cocaine were seized e 1.820 € proceeds of drug dealing.
Operation “Square” represents a important investigative success of the Carabinieri of Rho of fight against drug trafficking in the Milanese hinterland, confirming the effectiveness of the coordinated action with the Public Prosecutor's Office Milano.
