The event closed with record numbers tenth edition of the MIVEG Vegan Festival, the event organized by DogLife and hosted at the East End Studios by Milano, which attracted attention over the weekend over 13.000 visitorsTwo intense days dedicated to the vegan and anti-speciesist culture, Between ethical food, meetings, shows and moments of reflection on environmental, social and animal welfare issues.
In just two days, the corner “Pastries” served more than 5.000 sweets, while the numerous food stands they recorded the sold out already in the afternoon of Sunday, November 9th. Hundreds of people took part in conferences, workshops and laboratories, while almost all participants visited exhibitions and information points. Great success also for the projections and theatrical reading “Bestial Trials” by and with Grace Cominato, which recorded an extraordinary turnout.
“Miveg confirms itself to be much more than an event: it is a cultural and ethical movement that places respect for animals at its centre”, declared Sara D'Angelo, one of the event's organizers. "The turnout of over 13.000 people, the sold-out nature of many stands, and the participation in the in-depth sessions demonstrate an increasingly attentive and engaged audience."
As usual, every meal, dessert or purchase performed during the festival contributed to the support for the animals of the Porcikomodi sanctuary, transforming public participation into a concrete gesture of solidarity and awareness.
