Milano The 2025 Duomo Christmas Market opens: 78 huts, crafts, traditional products, and solidarity.

It was inaugurated on December 2nd, in the presence of the mayor Giuseppe Sala,councilor for economic development Alessia Cappello and President of Apeca Giacomo Errico, The traditional Christmas Market in the Cathedral, one of the most anticipated events of the Christmas period in the city.

Le 78 wooden huts, inspired by the villages of Northern Europe, will remain open every day from 9am to 21pm up to 6st January, enlivening the center with lights, scents, crafts and quality food products.

A journey through craftsmanship and gift ideas

Organized by ATI Promo.Ter Unione-Prisma with Apeca and Confcommercio Milano, the market is spread out: in the first stretch of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, along the perimeter of the Cathedral (via ex Camposanto), and in Via Carlo Maria Martini

Visitors can find a wide variety of handcrafted products and gift ideas: Nativity scenes, ornaments, decorations, blown glass, wooden toys, tableware, costume jewelry, handcrafted items, natural cosmetics, and lavender products from Provence.

Gastronomic excellence from all over Italy

Regional Italian specialties also feature prominently. Stalls offer traditional cheeses for holiday tables, white truffles and caviar, bottarga (fish roe) and smoked meats, nougat, traditional sweets, and a wide range of artisanal products.

Family entertainment and a Christmas atmosphere

The contributions collected will be donated to numerous organizations:

  • Cancer Institute of Milano

  • Opera San Francesco for the Poor (OSF)

  • National Organization for Assistance to Military Orphans of the Carabinieri (ONAOMAC)

  • Carlo Besta Neurological Institute – Pediatric Neurosciences

  • 15 Milanese parishes identified by Caritas Ambrosiana

  • Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo

  • Telethon Foundation, present for the first time with the project "Come a casa", to support the families of patients being treated at San Raffaele

Charles Sangalli, president of Confcommercio, highlighted that the Market is «a symbol of attractiveness and at the same time a stronghold of social attention, a heritage to be preserved."

Giacomo Errico, president of Apeca, recalled the national leadership of the event: «A strong point for Milano, with great tourist appeal and an offering of excellent artisanal and food products."
