On March 25, in the middle of the afternoon, four officers of the State Police have help to Milano, saving him, a citizen 70 year old Italian who, sitting at an outside table of a bar, he had suddenly collapsed to the ground for a plausible cardiac arrest.
The policemen ofGeneral Prevention Office they had been sent, at around 16.30 pm, urgently by the Operations Centre of the Milan Police Headquarters in Armed Forces Avenue where a woman, who had witnessed the scene, had called for help, undoing, in the meantime, the belt and the buttons of the 70-year-old's shirt.
The officers, considering the man's lack of heartbeat and the fact that he was not breathing on his own, began life-saving maneuvers by performing the heart massage in constant and direct communication with the 118 health personnel using the 43-year-old witness's cell phone.
Once the second patrol car from the Police Headquarters arrived, the four policemen took turns in the life-saving maneuvers, without ever stopping, until the man showed the first signs of recovery, starting to breathe on his own, and once again noting the presence of a heartbeat: shortly after, the medical personnel arrived and confirmed that the man's vital functions had resumed, the 70-year-old was transported with yellow code to the Humanitas hospital in Rozzano for further investigations.
