Lombardy Region: Redevelopment of university residences, news on the distribution of funds

The Region is providing resources to contribute to the construction and redevelopment of university residences, supporting 7 projects presented by Lombard universities. Thanks to regional support, these initiatives have managed to obtain an additional score in the national ranking drawn up by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR).

The provision, promoted by the regional councillor for Housing and Social Housing, Paul Franco, co-finances with 836.000 euros the first 7 projects presented by the Lombardy university system in a useful position in the ministerial ranking. Further proposals may be funded, following the scrolling of the rankings of the national call by the MUR, with the resources already allocated by the Lombardy Region.

Support for Lombard Universities

“As a Region – he underlines franc - we support the Lombard universities with respect to the objective of implementing and improving the offer of university buildings, so as to respond in an increasingly concrete manner to the housing needs of students".

Full-spectrum response on housing policies

“Increase the availability and quality of university accommodation – continues franc – it means help young people who are undergoing training in our area but are struggling to find a rental solution on the private market. It is an operation that looks at the right to study and to the valorization of our universities, which, in this way, can become even more attractive at a national and international level.
