Nearly 5.000 Ligurian students will receive scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.

La Liguria region announced the award of 4.946 university scholarships for the academic year 2025/2026a increase of 21,08% compared to the previous year.

The overall financial commitment exceeds the 18,3 million euros, confirming the constant attention of the Institution towards the right to study and student support.

"All eligible students who applied were awarded the prize. – declared the University councilor Simona Ferro –. Also for this year the Liguria Region, through Aliseo, will guarantee the 100% of university scholarships. Un significant result, which confirms the effectiveness of regional and national policies in support of young people and training”.

Of the beneficiaries, 2.670 are freshmen of the first year of a three-year degree, single-cycle master's degree or master's degree, while 2.276 students are registered in a year subsequent to the first.

Most of the winners belong to the courses of Engineering, Medicine, Science and STEM disciplines, sectors experiencing strong growth and with a significant employment impact.

The amount of the scholarship ranges from 2.851 to 7.073 euros, including accommodation and catering, and differs depending on the indicator ISEEU and the type of student ("on-site," "commuter," or "away from home"). Increases are also expected for specific categories:

• + 15 % for students with an ISEEU/ISEEUP lower than or equal to 50% of the maximum limit;

• + 20 % for female students enrolled in degree courses in STEM subjects;

• + 25 % for students with disability;

• + 20 % for students enrolled in more than one course of study at the same time.

All winners will be entitled to a free meal daily at the university canteens of Genoa and Savona andtotal exemption from university fees and regional tax.

As for the timing, students enrolled in years after the first will receive the first instalment by 31 December 2025.

Those enrolled in the courses Medicine and Surgery LM-41 e Dentistry LM-46 They will receive the scholarship after enrolling in the second semester.

Students coming from other universities will be able to apply for scholarship and accommodation from 19 February at 12 March 2026.
