Liguria wins at the 2025 ACES International Video Awards with "A Slalom of Emotions."

La Liguria, European Region of Sport 2025, was awarded today at the ACES International Video Awards 2025, as part of the ceremony hosted at the Veneto Region Space and Veneto Film Commission, At the 82th Venice Film FestivalThe Region has received the Special Award “Veneto Region” for the theme “Social inclusion and promotion of fair play”.

The award was given to the video “A slalom of emotions”, created by the students of the 1st year of Cultural and Entertainment Services of theIPSIS Gaslini-Meucci Institute of Genoa, already winner of the regional competition promoted by the Liguria Region as part of “Liguria 2025 – European Region of Sport”.

The ceremony took place in the presence of 28 administrations from 12 countries and 4 continents, on the occasion of the fifth edition of the prestigious international contest, which enhances the ability of local realities to tell the universal values ​​of sport.

“This award fills us with pride because it rewards not only the creativity of our students, but also Liguria's commitment to promoting accessible, inclusive, and diversity-respectful sport,” commented the regional councilor for Sport. Simona Ferro. – 'Liguria 2025' is not just a title, but a concrete opportunity to enhance our young people and the region through the most authentic values ​​of sport."

The short film “A slalom of emotions”, directed by Professor Mario Galeotti, the professor's texts Paola Pini and the music and voice of Valentino Vera, sees the participation of the Paralympic athlete Andrea Modica. A choral work that stood out among the 28 international papers for the ability to unite storytelling, emotion and inclusion.

“Liguria's success at the ACES International Video Awards demonstrates how young people know how to tell the truest values ​​of sport with authenticity and passion,” he declared. The award will be celebrated again in Genoa, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Nickelodeon Film Club, in the presence of the councilor Simona Ferro and the students of the Gaslini-Meucci.

- ACES International Video Awards, arrived at fifth edition and organized by ACES Italy in collaboration with Overtime Festival, are an international point of reference for the sports storytelling and the diffusion of its values. After Venice, the appointment will be in Macerata on October 10 and 11, 2025, with the final ceremony and the awarding of the Audience Award.
