Liguria Region, two historic trains this weekend for the Giovi and Chestnut Festivals.

La Liguria regionIn partnership with Trenitalia and the FS Foundation, offers on weekends, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October, two special appointments with the historic trains, to offer citizens and visitors the opportunity to experience the charm of traveling on vintage trains and participate in events of great cultural and tourist appeal.

These are convoys that not only allow you to relive an evocative experience, but also contribute to attracting visitors and supporting local economies. The Liguria Region will continue to invest in this type of initiative that unites culture, tourism and mobility.”

In detail Saturday October 4 the historic appointment will return on the Giovi line with theMastodonte Association. Departure set at 9.30 from Genoa Brignole, expected arrival at Ronco Scrivia at 10.42 and intermediate stops only for boarding. The return train will be at 18.39pm from Ronco Scrivia, arriving in Genoa Brignole at 19.35pm.

“The event is part of the event 'Ronco Scrivia, a journey through history - he adds Tourism Councillor Luca Lombardi – which is part of the one hundred and ten 'Authentic Ligurian Events' Co-financed thanks to two calls for proposals promoted by the Liguria Region's Department of Tourism for a total of approximately 500 thousand euros. In Ronco Scrivia, in addition to the historic train, visitors will be able to find markets, food stands and many collateral events.

Sunday October 5, At the 46th Rossiglione Chestnut Festival, departure with historic train at 10.10 from Genoa Brignole and arriving in Rossiglione at 11.31. Departure in the afternoon at 17.21pm from Rossiglione and arrival at 18.31pm in Genoa Brignole.

These two trains are part of the regional programme aimed at enhance the railway heritage at the same time, support local excellence and events, with a mobility offering with a strong tourist impact.
