Liguria at the forefront with “Punto Digitale Facile”: already 82 active points, the region exceeds targets a year early

Liguria stands out at a national level in the implementation of the project “Easy Digital Point”, funded by PNRR to reduce the digital divide. With 82 facilitation points activated e over 29.000 citizens involved, region has already reached the expected target one year ahead of schedule. Thanks to the support of the consumer associations and to the platform Digital Academy, the project offers personalized assistance to improve IT skills and promote access to digital services of the public administration

Liguria among the first regions in Italy in the implementation of “Easy Digital Point”, the three-year project, based on measure 1.7.2 of the PNRR, which aims to strengthen IT skills citizen base and promote access to digital services of public administration. To date, Liguria has activated 82 facilitation points on the territory, reaching the established project target one year ahead of the deadline. Excellent feedback also from the citizens involved: more than 29 thousand registrations in the points managed by the Liguria Region, with the aim of reaching 57 thousand by the end of the year. The activity of 8 consumer associations present in the Ligurian territory also contributes to the achievement of the targets, thanks to the Digitalmentis project financed by the Liguria Region through antitrust funds.

“Liguria is a virtuous player in national programs of widespread digital literacy. A great result, the fruit of a synergic action on the territory that allowed us to hit all the intermediate targets of the project – comments the councilor Technological Innovation Delegate Alessio Piana - A concrete step to equip all citizens, especially the elderly, with the skills needed to use digital technologies autonomously and consciously".

"Consumer associations, which I thank for the excellent work done, have played an important role in the creation of a unique digital facilitation network. – explains theRegional Councillor for Consumer Protection Simona Ferro. - Once again, the Liguria Region is able to make the projects it implements to support and protect its citizens synergistic, with particular reference to the older or disadvantaged groups. The results obtained demonstrate that reducing the digital divide is possible and reward Liguria as one of the most virtuous regions at a national level".

Each facilitation point avails itself of the collaboration of specially trained operators, the so-called "digital facilitators", who identify the needs of individual citizens., evaluate their initial IT preparation and support them in acquiring skills that will make them autonomous and capable of using IT tools and the Internet.

Training and assistance activities are carried out in the form of personalized training, in person and online, also in self-learning mode through video tutorials. free courses on basic digital skills, available on the DigitalAcademy digital platform (https://academy.liguriadigitale.it) created by Liguria Digitale within the scope of Measure 1.7.2 PNRR and on the platform (https://digitalmentis.it) created by the partner Regions of the “Digitalmentis” project.

The digital facilitation points managed by third sector bodies are present in the municipalities of Albenga, Busalla, Casella, Chiavari, Cicagna, Finale Ligure, Genoa (in the districts of Albaro, Apparizione, Borgoratti, Castelletto, Historic Center, Certosa, Foce, Marassi, Pegli, Pra', Quezzi, Rivarolo, Sampierdarena, San Teodoro, Sestri Ponente, Struppa, Sturla), Imperia, Isoverde, La Spezia, Lavagna, Luni, Mele, Mignanego, Pietra Ligure, Rapallo, Riccò del Golfo, Ronco Scrivia, Rossiglione, San Bartolomeo al Mare, San Lorenzo al Mare, Sanremo, Sant'Olcese, Santo Stefano di Magra, Sarzana, Savona, Serra Riccò, Sestri Levante, Varazze, Ventimiglia.Liguria in prima linea con "Punto Digitale Facile": già 82 punti attivi, la regione supera i target con un anno d’anticipo

To these are added the facilitation points managed by consumer associations, present in the provincial capitals and in the municipalities of Borghetto Santo Spirito and Finale Ligure.
