Liguria, over €4,9 million for training for young people with disabilities: continuity guaranteed for 560 young people.

An important step forward towards the inclusion and autonomy of people with disabilities comes from Liguria region, which approved a new financing of 4 million 961 thousand euros for the continuation of the training courses dedicated to young people between 16 and 25 years old.
The courses, designed in collaboration with the Local health authorities and managed by accredited training bodies, have the aim of promoting entry into the world of work and develop personal and professional skills.

The provision allows for ensure educational continuity for over 560 young people with disabilities, a number never before reached in the region. As the councilors explain: Simona Ferro (Training) e Marco Scajola (ESF Programming)"This result is the fruit of great teamwork between the Region, ALFA Liguria, the local healthcare authorities, and training institutions. With this investment, Liguria confirms its vision of inclusive education, aimed at independence and employability, not welfare measures."

Thanks to the resources of the European Social Fund Plus 2021–2027, the overall investment for 2025 reaches the 10 million eurosOver 1000 students already in classA figure that has grown significantly compared to previous years and is in contrast with the general reduction in public spending. training paths will last up to 2100 total hours and will include internships and work experience at Ligurian companies, with the aim of facilitating the professional integration of young participants.

The approval of the new financing came after the favorable opinion of the Regional Technical Committee, composed of representatives of Liguria Region, ALFA, training bodies and the Disability Advisory Board. A model of institutional cooperation that confirms the Region's commitment to a truly inclusive training, capable of combining personal growth and job opportunities.
