Liguria Digitale among the 100 Italian Excellences: national award for digital healthcare.
Liguria Digitale has earned a highly significant recognition in the Italian institutional and technological landscape, officially joining the "100 Excellences of Italy." The award, presented in Rome in the highly symbolic setting of the Sala della Regina in Montecitorio, certifies the company's role as a national benchmark in digital healthcare and innovation applied to public services. It is the only Ligurian company to receive the award, a fact that lends the result a significance that transcends company boundaries and takes on a regional dimension.
The ceremony at Montecitorio and the institutional value of the award
The award ceremony took place on Friday, December 5th, in one of the most iconic locations in Italian democratic life. The event was held under the high patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and thirteen ministries, including the Interior, Defense, Enterprise and Made in Italy, Infrastructure and Transport, and University and Research, as well as the support of leading institutions such as INPS (National Institute of Social Security) and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (National Institute of Health). This context confirms the high profile of the initiative and its commitment to highlighting the country's best practices.
A top-level Honorary Committee
Adding to the prestige of the award was the caliber of the jury, the Honorary Committee, chaired by the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Carlo Deodato. He presented the awards himself, in the presence of the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies, the Honorable Giorgio Mulé. The jury, composed of twenty-two authoritative institutional representatives, including Chiefs of Staff, Directors General, Secretaries General of Ministries, and heads of national bodies and agencies, represents a guarantee of rigor, competence, and independence in selecting the recognized excellences.
Liguria Digitale alongside the protagonists of Italian public life
Liguria Digitale was recognized alongside leading figures from the national institutional, scientific, and business worlds. Among the honors awarded were Daria Perrotta, State Accountant General and the first woman to hold this position; the Secretaries General of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, Federico Silvio Toniato and Fabrizio Castaldi; Rome Police Chief Roberto Massucci; and the Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Carmine Masiello. In addition to the institutional world, honorees also included outstanding figures from the fields of business, research, and healthcare, as well as representatives from the academic, cultural, and sporting worlds, demonstrating a broad and transversal vision of the concept of excellence.

A result that stands out in the national panorama
Of the one hundred companies selected, Liguria Digitale stands out for a particularly significant finding. Of the fifty-eight awarded companies, only three are public, while the vast majority are private sector. In the high-tech sector, ten companies were awarded, but Liguria Digitale is the only public company. The finding regarding healthcare is even more significant: of the five awarded companies in this sector, Liguria Digitale is the only one from the public sector. This result confirms the company's ability to compete at the highest national levels, combining technological innovation, efficiency, and public service.
Digital healthcare as a strategic lever for the future
This recognition underscores the central role of digital healthcare as a strategic area for the country's future. Liguria Digitale has distinguished itself for its ability to develop advanced technological solutions aimed at integrating healthcare systems, streamlining processes, and concretely improving services offered to citizens. This model demonstrates how public administration, when equipped with the skills and vision, can be a leader in innovation and not simply a user of external technologies.
The words of General Manager Enrico Castanini
Liguria Digitale's General Manager, Enrico Castanini, accepted the award at Montecitorio, emphasizing the collective significance of the recognition. Castanini emphasized that the award belongs not only to the company, but to the entire Liguria Region, emphasizing the complexity of the challenge posed by the digital transformation of healthcare. Being one of only three public companies recognized nationwide, and the only one to represent Liguria among Italy's leading companies, is, for Castanini, a testament to the value of the daily work carried out by highly qualified professionals. This achievement strengthens the company's determination to continue its path of innovation, focusing on inclusive, efficient, and truly needs-focused services.
A source of pride for Liguria and for public service
The overall ranking of the "100 Excellences of Italy" includes sixteen regions, but Liguria appears with only one: Digital Liguria. This makes the recognition even more significant and highlights an experience capable of combining technology, expertise, and public vision. This is a source of pride for the entire Ligurian region, which sees the enhancement of a concrete path aimed at improving public services, increasingly closer to citizens and their needs.
