Meldola: three arrests for extortion and assault, victims threatened and beaten.

Over the weekend, the Carabinieri of the Meldola Company they carried out ahouse arrest order, issued by GIP of the Court of Forlì at the request of the local Prosecutor's Office, against three Albanian citizens residents in the province. They are accused of aggravated extortion e aggravated personal injury in competition.

Investigations and reconstruction of the facts

The investigation, coordinated by Public Prosecutor's Office of Forlì and conducted by Carabinieri of the Forlimpopoli Station, it started after an intervention on the evening of 20 September 2024. An Albanian citizen, clearly unwell, was helped by a security guard at the shopping centre Bennet of Forlimpopoli, then by the paramedics and the Carabinieri. Shortly after, one of his compatriots was also found in similar conditions.

According to what has emerged, the two men had been approached and kidnapped by three compatriots, who, under threat, forced them into a vehicle. After being deprived of their personal freedom for several hours, they were taken to a hilly area between Forlì and Castrocaro Terme, where they were violently beaten with offensive instruments.

One of them, moreover, was tied up and threatened to be thrown into a wellThe attackers have filmed the whole scene with a cell phone to get the confession of an alleged home burglary and the return of the stolen goods.

After hours of violence and intimidation, the two were released near the Bennet shopping centre in Forlimpopoli, where they were rescued and transported to theForlì hospital. After treatment, they were discharged with a prognosis of about ten days each.

The arrests and the seized material

At the same time as the execution of the precautionary measure, the Carabinieri carried out some searches in the homes of those arrested, finding material useful for investigations, now under seizure.

The three men, considered responsible for the serious incidents, have been placed under arrest arrest, waiting for thewarrant interrogation, which was held this morning.
