Forlì: extraordinary checks by the Carabinieri and the Local Police

Last Friday, the Carabinieri of the Forlì Company and the personnel of the Forlì Local Police, also supported by an anti-drug unit of the Carabinieri dog unit – carried out a series of checks at some public housing units owned by the Municipality of Forlì and managed by ACER, located in the city centre.

The activities, carried out in the early hours of the morning, allowed:

• the administrative verification of accommodation arrangements as well as the updating of the composition of some family units, which have highlighted, in some apartments, discrepancies due to the presence of an additional person, which will lead to communication to Acer with adjustment of the rate to be paid, if the hospitality has lasted for more than thirty days. The checks have also allowed to find, in a couple of apartments, damages to infrastructures which will be followed by the administrative sanction provided for by the municipal regulation;
• to also carry out investigations into the possible possession of narcotic substances or in any case material of illicit origin. These latest checks led to the reporting of three young people, including a minor, all regularly occupying the housing units, found in possession of single doses of narcotic substances such as hashish and marijuana, seized and for which they were reported, as users, to the local Prefecture for the relevant administrative measures.

The operational result of the service is strictly connected to what was agreed, at the inter-force technical table of the Prefecture of Forlì-Cesena, for the planning of control activities of public housing properties as well as reclamation and safety of abandoned properties, within the municipality of Forlì.
