Cesenatico: Extraordinary checks by the Carabinieri, 13 people reported and 2 reported for drugs

The Carabinieri Radiomobile Operations Unit of the Cesenatico Company and the Stations of Cesenatico, Savignano sul Rubicone and Gambettola, have carried out a series of effective extraordinary territorial control services, aimed at preventing and combating dangerous driving behaviour (caused by the use and/or abuse of narcotic/alcoholic substances) as well as control of the premises and places most exposed to illicit phenomena.

The activities, carried out mainly in the areas considered to be of greatest operational interest in the municipalities of Cesenatico, Savignano sul Rubicone, San Mauro Pascoli and Gambettola, concluded with the thirteen people were reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Forlì and two drug users were reported to the Prefecture. On the front road control six people, aged between 23 and 63, were reported for driving under the influence of alcohol, as they were found to have blood alcohol levels ranging from a minimum of 0,65 g/l to a maximum of 1,74 g/l. In all six cases, the driving licence was withdrawn and subsequently suspended by the Prefecture.

In one case, following an exit from the road with only damage to property, the vehicle was also administratively seized, while in the other five cases the vehicle was taken away from the person fined and entrusted to acquaintances/family members. During checks carried out on premises or places exposed to illicit phenomena two young people were administratively reported to the Prefecture for personal use of narcotics, as they were found in possession of two doses of hashish, and a person (known for various crimes against property) reported for failure to comply with the preventive measure of the mandatory expulsion order with a ban on returning to the municipality of Cesenatico for a period of two years, a measure that had been notified to him last October.

During these last checks, the following were carried out: checks also on the regular presence of foreign citizens on the national territory or on the possession of suitable documents/qualifications, an activity which led to the reporting of six people, four for irregular stay in the national territory, one for failure to show identification documents and one for failure to comply with the order of the Police Commissioner to leave the national territory. All six were further referred to the competent Foreigners' Office for the relevant measures.
