Forlì (Forlì-Cesena), the alleged perpetrator reported by the Carabinieri for stalking, causing alarm and interruption of a public service

In recent days, the military of the Borello Carabinieri Station reported a 36-year-old woman, considered presumed responsible for the crimes of stalking, causing alarm to the authorities and interruption of a public office or service or of a public necessity service.

The story began several months ago, when a 57-year-old man, resident in the area, became the target of a pressing telephone stalking activity. The 36-year-old, driven by futile motivations, made a pressing series of calls towards him.

Following the victim's refusal to answer repeated calls, the 36-year-old began reporting false dangerous situations to national emergency numbers, repeatedly requesting the intervention of the military, the Fire Department, medical personnel and even a funeral home. These actions resulted in a waste of resources and a diversion of emergency response teams from their institutional duties, to the detriment of any citizens who might have required urgent intervention.

The investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri of Borello, confirmed what the victim had reported. Therefore, immediately informed, the Public Prosecutor ordered the activation of the "red code" and - to safeguard the safety of the victim - requested the GIP at the Court of Forlì to issue an appropriate security measure against the woman, given the seriousness of the contested facts. The GIP, having examined the request, ordered the 36-year-old to be placed on probation, together with the obligation to undergo a therapeutic course at the Psychiatric Service of the competent AUSL.
