Cesenatico: Extraordinary checks, nine reports, and one young man reported.

In the last few days, the Carabinieri of the Cesenatico Company have carried out a extraordinary territorial control service, with the use of military personnel from the Mobile Radio Operations Unit and the dependent Stations, carried out primarily in the evening and night hours and aimed at preventing crimes in general, controlling road traffic and dangerous driving behavior as well as combating crimes against property and drug dealing/consumption.

The checks, carried out in the areas of the territory considered to be of greatest operational interest and along the busiest roads, concluded with the reporting to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Forlì of nine people, in particular:

  • a motorist for “driving under the influence of alcohol” After being tested, he was found to have a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, with a blood alcohol level exceeding 1,30 g/l. His driving license was revoked and subsequently suspended by the Prefecture, and the vehicle was entrusted to a person fit to drive;

  • a driver for "refusing to be tested for alcohol intoxication" because, while undergoing a traffic check, he refused to submit to a blood alcohol test. His driving license was revoked and subsequently suspended by the Prefecture, and the vehicle was handed over to a person fit to drive;

  • another driver for "driving under the influence of narcotics and for refusing to be tested for drug use" During a traffic stop, he was caught driving a vehicle while clearly under the influence of psychophysical factors. He underwent a rapid test, which yielded a positive result, but subsequently refused to undergo a medical examination at a health facility. His driving license was revoked and subsequently suspended by the Prefecture, and the vehicle was handed over to a fit person to drive;

  • a man for "aggravated theft" because he was caught in possession of a bundle of electrical cables that had been cut and stolen shortly before from an electrical cabin in a residential area;

  • Two young homeless foreigners charged with attempted aggravated theft because they were stopped by the military immediately after attempting to force open a window of a restaurant in the city centre with the intent of committing a theft;

  • three foreign citizens for "having remained illegally on national territory" since, during the checks, they were found not to have a residence permit and, therefore, were sent to the competent immigration office to regularize their positions on national territory;

  • a homeless man for "failure to comply with the preventive measure of a mandatory expulsion order with a ban on returning to the municipality", as during an inspection he was found to be non-compliant with the preventive measure.

During the service it was also reported to the Prefecture of Forlì-Cesena, as a drug user, a boy in his early twenties, who, during a check, was found in possession of 36,00 grams of hashish and a dose of cocaineThe narcotic found was administratively seized.
