Cesenatico: 10 people reported and one reported for drug use

The Carabinieri of the Cesenatico Company have carried out an extraordinary territorial control service, with the use of military personnel from the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus and the dependent Stations, to prevent predatory crimes and impaired driving as well as discourage violent behavior. The controls – implemented in Cesenatico and in the surrounding municipalities, in the areas considered to be of greatest operational interest and along the busiest roads – they ended with the reporting of ten people to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Forlì, in particular:

• four people for “driving under the influence of alcohol”, with alcohol levels varying between a minimum of 0,88 g/l and a maximum of 2,86 g/l, motorists whose licenses were withdrawn and subsequently suspended while in all cases the vehicles were entrusted to people fit to drive;
• one for “driving with a revoked license” (reiteration in the two-year period);
• one for "failure to comply with the preventive measure of the mandatory expulsion order with a ban on returning to the Municipality of Cesenatico";
• two for “illegal possession of weapons and/or objects capable of causing offence” since they were found in possession of a cutter and a switchblade respectively, in both cases the weapons were seized;
• one for "having remained illegally on the national territory";
• finally a young man for "aggravated theft" and "resisting a public official", since, following a report of theft at a public establishment in the Cesenatico countryside, he was intercepted by the Carabinieri employed in the coordinated service and promptly intervened. On that occasion he fled on board a car who, during a short chase that ended against a street lamp, he abandoned to escape on foot. On board the vehicle, which had been in use by the fugitive for some time, 400 packets of cigarettes, numerous cans/bottles of alcoholic beverages and cash, worth several thousand euros, were found. The stolen goods, fully recovered, was returned to the injured party while the author, then fully identified, was reported.

During the same service, The Carabinieri also took administrative action, reporting it to the Prefecture of Forlì-Cesena, against a drug user found in possession of a small quantity of cocaine for personal use. The narcotic found was administratively seized.
