Cesena: extraordinary services by the Carabinieri, 11 people reported and 2 reported for narcotics.

The Carabinieri of the Cesena Company, in particular of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus with the support of colleagues from the competent Stations, have carried out an extraordinary service of territorial control, carried out primarily in the evening and night hours, aimed at combating predatory crimes, drug dealing as well as impaired driving.

The checks – carried out mainly in the municipality of Cesena, in particular in the areas considered to be of greatest operational interest as well as along the busiest roads – concluded with the referral of eleven people to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Forlì, in particular:
– four men reported for “driving under the influence of alcohol”, with blood alcohol levels ranging from a minimum of 1,24 g/l to a maximum of 1,89 g/l, whose licenses were withdrawn and subsequently suspended. As for the vehicles, they were entrusted to people fit to drive;
– two foreign citizens reported for “aggravated theft in competition” of foodstuffs inside a shopping centre;
– a foreign citizen reported for “aggravated threats and possession of weapons or objects capable of causing harm” with the seizure of a medium-sized knife;
– a foreign citizen reported for “receiving stolen goods” because he was caught riding a bicycle (see attached photo), presumably stolen shortly before and abandoned by the perpetrator before the check, for which checks on the origin are currently underway;
– two young foreigners reported “for illegal residence in the territory of the State”, both were sent to the competent foreign office for expulsion proceedings;
– a man reported for “attempted theft” of a car parked in the hospital parking lot.

The Carabinieri also proceeded administratively, with reports to the Prefecture of Forlì – Cesena, against:
– two young people reported as users of narcotic substances, the first, checked while driving his vehicle, was found in possession of almost 4 grams of a narcotic substance of the hashish type, for which the substance was administratively seized, the driving license was withdrawn for subsequent suspension and the vehicle was entrusted to a person fit to drive; while the second was found in possession of a dose of a narcotic substance, again of the hashish type, administratively seized;
– another young man caught driving a car without ever having obtained a driving license, the vehicle was subjected to administrative seizure for three months.

The velocipede recovered by the Carabinieri during the service is kept at the Cesena Company command where it can be viewed by any person who may have a claim on it.
The operational commitment of the Carabinieri will continue in the coming days, with ad hoc services aimed at preventing and combating the commission of crimes.
