Cesena: Carabinieri checks in the historic center, 5 reports made

The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Operations Unit of the Cesena Company have arranged for the past weekend an extraordinary control activity aimed in particular at historic city centre with functions preventive and deterrent measures against irregular conduct. At the conclusion of the activities, carried out primarily in the historic center of Cesena and in the streets closest to it:

• two men were found, during the night, in possession of respectively a switchblade and a cutter over 20 cm long, without being able to justify the reason. Weapons seized and perpetrators reported for "unjustified carrying of offensive instruments in a public place";
• a man he was checked and found in possession of a bicycle found stolenThe velocipede was promptly returned to the rightful owner e the man reported for "stolen";
• two motorists were reported respectively for “driving under the influence of alcohol" and for "false material connected with the counterfeiting of driving documents”. In particular, a young man, checked while driving a car and subjected to an alcohol test with the supplied breathalyser, was found to have a blood alcohol level of over 1 g/l, with Driving license withdrawn and vehicle entrusted to third parties; while the other subject, always a young, foreigner, when asked for his driving documents, showed a driving licence issued by a non-EU country on which the dates of issue and expiry had been erased and made illegible. Document seized e driver reported for material forgery. He was also charged with the administrative violation of driving without a license with the vehicle subject to administrative seizure.

The assessment of the service provided also involved a administrative reporting for possession of narcotic substances at the expense of a young man and with a dose of hashish, 12 violations of the highway code, 11 personal/vehicle searches and inspections, over 200 people identified e 3 public establishments checked.
