Forlì: the Forestry Carabinieri fight against illegal hunting activities.
In order to combat the phenomenon of irregular hunting, especially in urban areas, the Carabinieri Forestale Group of Forlì-Cesena (and Rimini), through the 16 CC For. Nuclei located in both provinces, has organized several targeted services in this area during the month of September.
Specifically, the checks carried out were aimed at the correct exercise of hunting activities, with particular attention to compliance with the prescribed distances from homes; all in order to guarantee as much as possible the exercise of hunting in safety and in compliance with the sector regulations.
In particular, 266 checks were carried out, while 261 hunters were subjected to checks. These checks resulted in 17 administrative sanctions for a total amount of €2.500.
The violations found mainly concerned hunting at an unauthorized distance from roads and nearby homes, failure to indicate the day on the hunting license, failure to use high-visibility devices, and failure to collect shell casings.
The checks will continue in a strict manner also in the coming weeks and in any case during the entire opening period of the hunting season.
