Florence: 25th edition of the Festa della Toscana, “land of genius and innovation”
The twenty-fifth edition of the Festa della Toscana will be held on Saturday, November 30, this year dedicated to the theme “Tuscany, land of genius and innovation”. A series of events and demonstrations are planned for the occasion.
The day will open with the solemn session of the Tuscan Legislative Assembly which will be hosted in the cinema 'La Compagnia', to which all the Tuscan mayors, the members of the regional student parliament and the students in the final years of high school were invited. The event will open with a musical prelude by Giulia Mazzoni. Speakers will include Antonio Mazzeo, President of the Regional Council; Paolo Galluzzi, historian of science and member of the Accademia dei Lincei; Sabina Nuti, rector of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa. The conclusions will be entrusted to the President of the Regional Council Eugenio Giani.
In the afternoon with 'Palazzo Aperto', the Regional Council opens to citizens with free guided tours (reservations have already sold out in a few hours) in two shifts: the first, at 15pm, with meeting point at Palazzo Bastogi and the second, at 17.30pm, with meeting point at Palazzo del Pegaso. Always at the Pegasus Palace, Throughout the afternoon, there will be a presence of regional representative associations for blood donation: the Italian Blood Volunteers Association, FRATRES, Tuscan Public Assistance, the Italian Red Cross and the Regional Blood Center of the Tuscany Region, where information material will be distributed to raise awareness on the topic of blood donation.
At 15.45 pm, in the Gonfalone room of Palazzo del Pegaso, institutional greetings of the members of the Bureau. Following, at 16pm and then at 17.45pm, 'Our People' will be performed, concert show with Gaia Nanni, Alessio Sardelli and Roberto Beneventi. A guided tour is scheduled for 16.30 pm, edited by Monica Valentini, to the historical archive of the Regional Council of Tuscany which also preserves the Oriana Fallaci Fund.
At 17pm and 18.30pm in the Ballroom of Palazzo Bastogi, protagonist with his show 'Concerto solo piano' the pianist and composer Giulia Mazzoni. It will also be possible to visit the artistic exhibitions at Palazzo Bastogi: the exhibition 'Gutai – Primo Assalto' by Shozo Shimamoto and the Galleria del Genio toscano in augmented reality. In the exhibition space Ciampi of Palazzo del Pegaso the exhibition 'Memory and freedom', paintings by Emanuele Favi from 1969 to 2024.
From 15.30 pm a tasting of typical Tuscan products and the distribution of publications of the Regional Assembly Editions.
