Florence: “Pop Pointillism Beyond Artificial Intelligence” by the MaMà Dots group, on display at Palazzo Bastogi.

The exhibition "Pop Pointillism Beyond Artificial Intelligence” of the artistic group MaMa Dots will be inaugurated on Wednesday 18 December 2024, 14:00, in the exhibition space of Bastogi Palace in via Cavour 18.

Institutional greetings are expected Antonio Mazzeo, President of the Regional Council, and Stefano Scaramelli, vice-president of the Regional Council. Following the speeches of Sveva Manfredi Zavaglia, international curator, Igor Wolfgang Schiaroli, blockchain, NFT and artificial intelligence expert, Erminia Viviana Weaver, art historian, Alfredo Cirillo, cassation lawyer expert in business consultancy and new technologies, Francis Coratti, a surgeon and expert in robotic medicine. The artists of the MaMà Dots group will be present, Marianna Improta e Mauro DeVito.

The project "Pop Pointillism Beyond AI"of MaMa Dots wants to explore and celebrate the meeting between tradition and innovation, bringing to the cradle of the Renaissance, the Toscana, a new vision of contemporary art. Through the “Pop Pointillism“, an artistic style developed by Marianna Improta e Mauro DeVito, founders of MaMà Dots, the exhibition combines traditional oil painting techniques with the aesthetics of the digital world, offering a dialogue between past and future, between Renaissance artistic genius and 21st century technologies.

“Pop Pointillism Beyond AI” is developed around a central idea: to explore the evolution of Italian figurative art, from Giotto a Michelangelo, reinterpreting it in light of the most recent technological innovations, such as theartificial intelligence. Traditional pointillist painting, rediscovered by MaMa Dots, is reworked with a contemporary approach that integrates elements of digital design, artificial intelligence and cyber-culture, but made entirely by hand with oil colors.

The exhibition will be open from Monday to Friday, weekdays until 10 January 2025 with the following timetable: from 10: 00 to 12: 00 and by 15: 00 to 19: 00. The 24 and 31th December closing at 17:00.

Access will be permitted, upon presentation of a valid identity document, within the limits of the places provided pursuant to safety regulations.
